Baggage allowance
Baggage allowance follows Avianca's Size-based fare families. Basic fares (XS) include one personal item that must fit under the seat. Classic fares (M) include a personal item, a 10kg overhead carry-on, and one 23kg checked bag. Note: Galapagos flights require SICGAL agricultural inspection and an INGALA transit control card prior to baggage drop.
Change policy
Flight change rules are governed by Avianca's branded fare structure. Basic fares (XS, S) are designed for fixed travel and do not permit changes. Higher tiers (M, L, XXL) provide maximum flexibility for date and route adjustments, subject to fare differences and applicable change fees.
Check-in
Online and mobile check-in opens 24 hours prior to departure. For domestic mainland Ecuador flights, arrive 2 hours early. For international routes and Galapagos flights, airport arrival at least 3 hours prior is mandatory to clear INGALA transit controls and special security inspections.
